"Awaken the Night" depicts a dragonfly rendered in a mosaic style. The dragonfly's wings are intricate, composed of numerous small pieces of dichroic glass in white, with hints of blue and light purple that evoke the natural iridescence of real dragonfly wings. The body of the dragonfly is slender and also features glass work, in darker tones that create a contrast with the delicate appearance of the wings. A deep blue, shiny glass outlines the wings and segments of the body, further accentuating the dragonfly's shape against the neutral, textural background.
