"There's a poem by Guillaume Apollinaire that inspires me every day to accept the challenges that scare me. It's called 'Come to the Edge': ''Come to the edge.' / 'We can't. We are afraid.' / 'Come to the edge.' / 'We can't. We will fall!' / 'Come to the edge.' / And they came. / And he pushed them. / And they flew.' " Elisabeth Ladwig

"Fly" is a digitally composited artwork with a surreal and dreamlike quality. The centerpiece of the art is a woman, depicted in a graceful, almost floating pose. Her long, flowing hair and dress showcase movement. Her upward gaze is directed at the sky above. The dress gives the appearance of being ethereal and translucent, like she is emerging from the mist. In the sky, there are three full moons of varying sizes, casting a bright, mystical light. This impossible celestial occurrence adds to the otherworldly feel of the piece. Beneath one of the moons, flight elements like birds and a helicopter are visible, adding a sense of scale and juxtaposing natural and man-made elements. The color palette is dominated by cool and moody tones, with a stormy gray sky that enhances the overall enigmatic and magical atmosphere of the artwork. The backdrop of a blurred, dark forest silhouette at the bottom anchors the scene, providing a mysterious landscape for the composition. The artwork captures a moment suspended in time, evoking feelings of freedom, escape, and the beauty of the unknown.
