Kathleen (Kay) Eaton left a career in graphic design and marketing to focus on fine art oil painting, with an emphasis on portraits, figurative works, and landscapes. She enjoys painting from life whenever possible, and participates in plein air events across the United States. She has studied with such notable artists as Romel de la Torre, Kathy Anderson, Derek Penix, Daniel Gerhartz, Everett Raymond Kinstler, C.W. Mundy, Nancy Guzik, David Shevlino, and Rose Frantzen. Her work can be seen in galleries, exhibits and private collections through the United States.
"After a lifetime in creative fields, I realized that life is too short not to pursue your dream. I’ve known since I was 6 years old that I was meant to be a fine artist. I returned to fine art oil painting after a career in graphic design. It isn't easy to translate pixels and lines in the digital world into soft and lost edges in a painting. I look forward to spending the rest of my life pursuing my passion!"
